{Featured} Pretty Play Kitchen Birthday Party

27th August 2012

Today I am happy to share with you this pretty play kitchen themed birthday party by one of my favorite sweet stylists Leanne of Sweet Style. When I came across her blog, Mrs. A in the Cove, my eyes immediately caught her post on her daughter Indi’s 3rd birthday party because it was so simple and sweet!

Leanne themed this party from a pretty little play kitchen that her daughter spends hours playing with. I love how she decided to keep her daughter’s birthday party a small and intimate gathering with just grandparents and immediate family. While I believe a big fete is excitingly appropriate for a child’s 1st birthday party, I also think that smaller gatherings full of their most favorite things, whether it be a miniature play kitchen or a favorite tea time table, help the birthday girl feel the most special because they get undivided attention! I have been contemplating keeping my own daughter’s 2nd birthday a small gathering and after seeing this party it just confirmed that it can turn out just as gorgeous by keeping it simple!

I absolutely love how Leanne chose to keep the look of the desserts playful to match the play kitchen! Sweets included a perfect cherry on top cake and matching cookies by Jacki from Blissfully Sweet Cakesmarshmallows, pastel colored cake pops, and mini jars of sixlets. Isn’t this birthday setup darling? It is simplicity at it’s best. I hope you enjoy the eye candy!

and a big thank you to Leanne for allowing us to share this sweet party with our readers!
